Venice on the Hudson
A water main broke in Greenwich Village, NY, causing the streets to flood. The fire department worked into the night to put the situation under control. Late May 2008.
Note: As a number of visitors asked if I ventured into the water for the shot, the answer is negative. I stood at safe distance. Only later that evening did I negotiate the flooding water to get the shot I wanted.
Exposure: 1/60, f/5.6, 65mm, ISO-1600, flash.
