I was studying lighting techniques from the 1920's through the 50's in Hollywood portrait lighting.
Nicole (the wonderful model and friend here) loves the flapper era, so we shot with Clara Bow & Louise Brooks in mind (also a bit of Greta Garbo and Jean Harlow). The lighting ended up a little more very late 20's and 30's, but we were both happy with the results! She did such a good job with some of the dramatic gestures the "starlets" made! I actually had a book open to a vintage shot of Clara Bow in plain sight for both of us, just for inspiration!
