some details. this is a hill atop south san jose. the city of san jose loves to use those nasty sodium vapor street lights that suck the colour out of everything. so when i shot this, the street lights are whats causing the sun surface like glow in the background. the foreground is simply 'light painted' using my SB 600 with a 30 second exposure.
so far i personally believe this is my best photo. it took alot of work and im proud of it.

I can`t believe the amount of light pollution and enrgy consumption in the city. The contrast with the darker forest area and the lone tree. It doesn`t get any better. -
