Aftermath
I was in a tornado today. After leaving work I was to my car and I was hit by a wall of wind and water which knocked me down. I was able to get into my car and watch as debris flew past me almost faster than I could even follow with my eyes. It lasted about 90 seconds. Thankfully nothing too bad happened, I am okay, as are my co-workers. We lost some rows of grapes, and lots of trees. After about an hour, the storm was to the east and offered this stunning scene with the late evening sun making the storm glow.
I love storms, and this is the only time I can think of where I was scared during one. Even more evident than fear, though, was amazement that the wind could blow so hard, and I was able to see it first hand. We really are small in the scheme of things.
