this is hardcore

If it's not dangerous, it's not fun. And if it's not dangerous, it's supposed not to be hardcore. I took this photo in March ’08 at a small venue in Torino, my city. Germano, this crazy first Henry Rollins vs Ian MacKaye human mix who’s falling on his back with a mic on one hand and a tambourine (!) on the other, is the singer of the Italian hc band Evolution So Far. They’re, just like me, strong influenced by the early ‘80s American and European punk hardcore movement and they really believe in the DIY ethic. For the length of the gig, they made my dream come true: being in L.A. or Washington, DC, in the 1981, taking bw pictures of Black Flag or Minor Threat epic, hyper-violent and, well, hardcore shows. In the mosh pit, risking a jackboot to the nose.
