Exposed and vulnerable were my thoughts, until I discovered they are a type of Plover, so if the parents are at all like those we have here, they are extremely protective, and the eggs safe. Nice capture Tim.

Very nice. I've never been able to find kildeer eggs that werern't being attentively protected by one of the parents. I've don't have the heart to scare them off to get shots of the eggs. Usually just keep checking every day until I find chicks dashing about grabbing up insects.
