The Congressional Medal of Honor is the highest award issued for bravery in combat. This particular winner rests at the American Military Cemetery atop "Bloody" Omaha Beach, one of the five D-Day landing beaches, along with his fellow servicemen who were willing to give their last full measure of devotion so that others could be free from tyranny.
