My Noisy But Exciting Window
During a short commuter hop on the way to Ecuador I was lucky enough to get a seat right beside the left engine. The views were great and I was very aware of just how fast that propeller was spinning and the possibilities if it were to break or come loose. The noise soon receded into a background lull and it was a pleasant forty-rive minutes in the air. Smaller planes seem so much more like real travel than commercial jumbo-jets, letting you feel the air and the engines through the seat and providing better views of the scenery. How I get there is always as important as where I end up.
