Democracy is Freedom of Speech.
There was a protest on the Iraq war in front of the Rockefeller Center, New York.
I love the stillness of the man's body vs. the blurred background, the red paint on his palms and his tired & sad expression.
With his hands up, it almost looks like he's surrendering.
I was lucky that the bus sped behind him, resulting in the most appropriate colors of democracy: red, white & blue.
