1978 Yamaha SR500

The classic lines of this bike are based upon the single-cylinder motorcycles produced in England in the mid part of the 20th century. The engine is basic, and that's the lure of it with motorcycle enthusiasts. The lack of an electric starter makes it hard to start for the uninformed. For the veteran "thumper" riders, this bike starts on the first kick.

Less than 4,000 miles are on this 30-year old beauty. The short megaphone muffler is loud by any definition. The bike is a treat to ride, especially around tight curves.
