This view is above and to the west of the 4 presidents of Mt. Rushmore . . . the unfinished "Hall of Records" are below in that valley.
Not too long ago I took some friends on a hike of Mt. Rushmore - atop the heads, and then up over the back side (and higher altitude) of the mountain.
They, like me, marveled at the view, the detail in the carvings, and the breathtaking geology and formations.
