    This photo is just so powerful! I love the slight tilt of the backdrop, gives it a slight disorientation and brings about a little tension in the shot. I also love how one cannot see the soldier's eyes- please tell me the story behind this shot, I would love to hear more about it!

    Not much of a story. It is from a military reenactment, this one was WWI. There were trenches set up and people dressed in period clothing with equipment and weapons of the time.
    I just try to give the image a vintage look that would be appropriate for the period. This man is the same one in one of my other photos, "The Stare." I think his "look" contributes so much to these photos. He has a certain believability that adds to his role.
