Pacific Ghost Highway
. . . . In a time not all too long ago I was always drinking Nyquil; even so, I could never sleep. I also shot film. I dealt with things late at night on the beach. It seemed to work out alright in the long run.

when my mom was dying i drove her up this stretch of highway to a hospital in Santa Barbara. i remember looking out at that landscape, and that particular curve and thinking *this is it*. i still can't drive from LA to Santa Barbara without feeling strange. are you sure you took this on 11.15? my mom's birthday was 11.11
maybe it's her ghost. -

Yeah I'm pretty sure, I checked the date on the lab sheet with the negs. It is such a drive, definitely haunting if its late enough at night and you have the right sound track. I'm sorry about your mother. I could think of worse places to haunt ;-) -

I traveled it many times. The scenes are surreal.
