The Genuine Greased Lightning

Before "Grease", my friend, Harley C. Orange, Jr. owned this winner. It won dozens of trophies in legitimate drag racing in Georgia.
The specs: 1966 Dodge Dart ...273 HP engine with Torque Flight push button transmission and a separate tach. Bored and srtroked this shut down GTO's , Vettes and Cobras regularly.
I made this photograph in front of my parents' home in Chamblee, GA. The camera was my Edixa Prismat (GERMAN) 35mm with the 135mm f/3.5 Schneider lens. All three lenses including the 35mm f/2.8 Curtagon and 50mm Schneider Xenon f/1.9 had matching serial numbers. I wish I had it today.
The film was Plus-X ASA 125 panchromatic processed in Microdol-X. I used a light green filter. The light meter was my Weston Master V...Ansel Adam's Zone System.Note: the lens mount was "Pentax" thread.
Harley didn't talk alot. He would only say one phrase concerning this ultra fast machine; "It sh ts and gits". He drove the car with street tires to work daily.

Gas prices must have been about 35 cents a gallon then? Ah, the memories.
