Magical Maaloula
Located an hour or less north of Damascus, this lovely and historic town
has a population of about 2000 and stands at an altitude of about 1500m. The otherwise dead language of aramaic remains alive and well in Maaloula. April 2008.
Exposure: 1/350, f/10, 25mm, ISO-250.

Thanks for the comment Wissam. Aramaic is actually still spoken in three villages in Syria, including Maaloula, the largest one.
