An early morning shooting session was done and dusted. Tripod over shoulder and on the way back home for a coffee and noticed this bizarre cloud formation. The cypress tree seemed to have inspired the swirl. (Scanned off a slide.)

I'm not a believer Laura, but the irony of your comment is that this was a cypress tree beside a church. The main purpose of the early morning shoot was to catch the rising sun on the church.

Thanks IL. This shot has taught me important things about self-perception of your own shots. I felt really lucky to get the shot, and I have always been proud of it. The thing is it "clicks" with few people. Glad you are one that it did.
