Picture I took in Pangasinan of Lola Veronica, here at 88 years old. She was trying to tell me how her throat cancer had rendered her incapable of uttering any sound. Just a year before she was singing me ancient Pangasinan folk songs that only she new. These songs died with her two months ago when she passed on.
