In the obvious title..."Pay Phones" and where they are...
We are at a time where technology is replacing the "pay phone" with individual cell phones. The pay phone has almost turned into some type of antiquated form of communication sculpture. They are vanishing and I am collecting these images...
This image deals with time as well. The faded white stripes on the parking lot, and plants growing on the closed business' roof. The tire barriers give a clue to this. In the distance, one can see a beautiful green farm complete with barn and cattle grazing atop the hill. This is the past...where the phone is located is the dying present. The "timing" of the photograph is important as well. A cloud's shadow is moving quickly up the hill...much like time...quickly moving...unstopable! The shadowed darkness takes over... The power lines separates the "pretty cyan" sky with the approaching colorless gray sky while two different species of bird sit atop them. Lastly, possibly the last person to visit the locale found it closed...in haste left his car"s rubber tire mark in anger...
...it is now quite and slipping away! Here frozen forever...
Hope this helps Kim...

Good stuff and excellent idea, John! By the way, I do not own a cellphone and still rely on payphones every other day, or so..
