Mornings in the kitchen, Richmond, UK.
This home is made up of memories. Memories of a life full of people and stories. The house is full of tacky souvenirs, framed photos, pictures and antiques, all of which are treasured gifts. The postcards on the fridge are from around the world, they mainly come from their granddaughter’s travels, magnets from their son and daughters and pictures on the wall by their grandchildren who have now nearly all grown up. Great grandchildren will soon be drawing their images.
Doug Sharp passed away in 2005, yet the house is still alive with memories and his beloved wife Jean Sharp continues to build on the collection of never ending gifts.
In the Age photo essay.

It' so wonderful to have really old people around. Especially when they are so happy and alive as your grandfather seems to be.

unfortunately my Granddad died in 2005, but somehow he is alive through various ways. These images are from a personal archive from 2003 when I began to photograph them. Most were taken on a 120 yashica twin lens reflex camera. thanks for all the comments
