Crossing the river after a long 3 hour wait, we pass a boat identical to ours, though empty.
In the background mountains rise up, like everywhere around us, embracing the wide strong river.
On the other side emptiness would await us, and some friendly Tibetans prepared to take us along in their 4x4 to cross the barren ground from the river to the monastic village.
