Smokers out in the cold in front of a bar called Ivy.
Part of a Series.
I took some shots to enter into the Auckland Photo Day contest which happened between 12am and 12am 7 June 2008. (I'd really like the 1st prize an Olympus DSLR!!!!)
This was one of three I submitted. The brief was to show something that defined your Auckland.
These were taken not far from my home in Kingsland. An up and up suburb with a real retro feel.
In the story Better Luck... and the story Up and At Em.

Hey Hector! I imagine the staring is due to the long exposure time... I suppose the brisk cool air might have had something to do with it too? Oh I've just had another look... you can see the shape of the pixels and bokeh there too, the pixels on my Fuji Finepix F10 are hexagonal so the starring fits into that shape!
