Point Bonita Lighthouse, California (June 2008)

Looking through the window to the far right
I see such a sentinel of delight
Guiding the battered souls away from shoals
Heavenly bliss wrapped up in the structure
Towers over the land high in the sky
Hope for mankind who are adrift at sea
Overcast with nightshades you still do shine
Unrestricted you beam your light divine
Such rock and steel you stand still to adore
Eyeing to bring lost ones safely ashore.
