Just to the right of the setting sun, do you see it? The corner of a flat roofed home. Just the sort that fits with a Sunday School story I remember from long ago. I've always hoped for a Beachside place to be 'prepared for me'!!!
I should mention that no post processing was done in this capture of a very special Beach House which was captured on the shores of Auckland's Piha beach.

No I don't think so. I use a 'low speed setting' when shooting directly into bright lights such as the sun. It gives a starring effect and not so much of a blob of bright light.
This one was f/8, ISO 100, shutter speed 0.001sec. -
