police surrounding protesters in front of London Town Hall
Submitted to Democracy
On mayoral election night, some people were protesting against the BNP (a far right party). The police decided they represented a threat to peace and order and kept them in an enclosure for several hours. It was as good humoured as the situation possibly allowed but it was definitely not British democracy's finest hour.
