Cleaning the Pond
Kikunaike park's pond got a massive cleaning operation from Japanese government. The idea was to remove the lotuses which occupy the pond as well as remove all the mud from the pond.
This cleaning operation has been a major undertaking lasting for almost five months now - and there is no end in sight.
We residents of Kikuna area wonder when we will see the pond restored to it's natural state again.
