Yeah I don't care what you say... I like pigs, having grown up in Iowa on a pig farm. No, I don't like their stink, of course... but they are intelligent, curious and playful animals. And yes, of course... they do taste good. Ha. Actually, I just finished reading a book called "The Good Good Pig";... it wasn't bad, though I am a bit more callous regarding farm animals and their purpose than the author of the book was. I adore farm animals - cows, goats, sheep, pigs, etc. - but I grew up with a practical approach to livestock farming. Meaning, well, that many farm animals are raised for a purpose (meat, milk, wool, etc.), and it's best to treat them right but not get too attached. So I walk a fine line between thinking of farm animals as pets versus livestock.
Taken with my digital Nikon, right before sending an army of 14 plastic pigs off into the world to do their master's bidding...
