I wanted to put an addition to the "Faith" theme; I originally thought of taking a picture of the bible I had, but I wanted to do something different. Something completely out of the norm. So this is what I came up with. I am completely aware of the controversial meaning of this photo, but I hope everyone can have an open mind about it. Thanks!

interesting take. you should check out the philosopher Slavoj Zizek (an atheist himself) who said that atheists are not people who believe in nothing, but believe in everything. he's got some ideas that make you think.

Very clever picture. However, I cannot agree with what you wrote beneath your picture; for if you don't put any stock into the words within that book, then I am left to believe that your confidence within your own self is what's driving your inspiration. Ergo, you do have faith in something.
Your stated opinion is that the God of the bible is a lie. That statement further leads one to understand that you have accepted that you are better off believing that you don't need a savior to rescue you from the brutal, broken, brittle life that each of us lives here on this earth. You only need yourself.

My thoughts are very similar although I don't claim the title of atheist because that takes faith as well. I can't prove there is no God. It is impossible to prove a negative and yet I see no evidence that there is a God. I have no faith. Agnostic it is. I hope they print this.
