Meet a stranger

I got my first camera when I was around 25 years old. I quickly realized I liked taking pictures. That camera got wet in the sea because I somehow convinced myself that I could swim with it with one arm upraised. I still don't have a personal camera but from time to time I get to borrow one. This picture is me. I took it for myself and I discovered that I am a stranger to my own self. Watching oneself in the mirror, is different to posing for one's own camera. It reaches inside and draws out a part of the individual who is so used to being behind the lens that one cannot help but feel a sense of liberation. I personally think that I even look younger and happier than I thought I was. Perhaps this is really the intention of the camera to enrich and rejuvenate the users. Certainly the experiences in capturing moments in time is worth it.
