Faith is as much a force of destruction as it is a source of hope. Some of the worst atrocities in history occurred because of how blindly people followed some madman's twisted vision of their faith. Personally, I don't put much stock in "religion." However, faith is a completely separate matter that has very little to do with any specific religion. I think, as a species, we would all be better off if we remembered that.
