Checked the back cover of JPG Issue 16 yet? If so, you’ve seen the prototype of my new 2009 Toyota Matrix.
Unlike the ad, which has a blaring amplifier in the back cargo area, my cargo tends to be a tripod & camera equipment, pounds of clay or campaign files & props.
On the day of this capture, I went to the post office & picked up Issue 16 with a friend who was taking me to town to pick up my new Matrix & said suddenly, "Hey, that's the car we're going to go pick up!" ... I love my new wheels. They're so me, even if the other me!

Its a Toyota Matrix; The Matrix and Prius as well as the New Honda Civic Hybrid are all manufactured within 50 miles of my home. So while Toyota is originally a Japanese company, this car is actually about as homegrown a they get! If you open the engine and look at the battery and other parts, Its going to say Indiana on it.
