This edgy looking photo is an example of what you can do when mixing RGB color channels. No filtering was used. The majority of tonal energy from this image was taken from the blue channel. Isolating just the blue in this manner creates a unique effect that is accented by human skin. In this example, we can now see details that are usually masked by red and green light. Blood vessels, freckles and skin imperfections are highlighted with stark contrast. As you can see, it can look quite dramatic... Comments are welcome.
