Salticidae
I found this 9 millimeter-long jumping spider on my deck near a light bulb (in Newport News, Virginia). It was an extremely cooperative subject, keeping perfectly still while I photographed it.
I believe it is a female Platycryptus undatus.
I used a Nikon 50mm f/1.4D reverse mounted on a Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6G to capture 13 images of variable focus. I composited the images together using CombineZM, a focus stacking program.
