x-gates factory

I moved to Denver in 1999 just out of high school. This was what was known as the Gates rubber factory back then and an Art Deco sign used to hang right in the middle there that read Gates. Even back then I wanted to do photography and always told myself that someday I would get out a camera and photograph this building.

Well 9 years later I finally began picking up a camera, sadly while this is still an interesting building it just isn't the same without that art deco sign.

Sorry I missed ya Gates.

I know how you feel...for years there was a closed eatery across from the train station called Terminal Lunch and I always thought I'd take a picture of it until one day the sign was gone and the place was being remodeled.
