Cicadas are just awesome. Yesterday I went to my girlfriend's house and picked six of them off her car (some injured). I placed them on a nearby tree and then grabbed my camera for a quick photoshoot with one. Also, another photo that needed minimal post work. I've been getting better with the camera the past couple months. Yes, I'm proud of myself.

A cicada is an insect of the order Homoptera, suborder Auchenorrhyncha, in the superfamily Cicadoidea, with large eyes wide apart on the head and usually transparent, well-veined wings. There are about 2,500 species of cicada around the globe, and many remain unclassified.
