Those Left Behind
A young soldier (Pte. 173rb BN, C.E.F. WW1 - died in his early 60's) is remembered alongside his Grandmother by a simple metal cross. Most of the metal crosses were later replaced by the uniform stone markers that are more common. All list the name, rank, section, date of death, age and usually serial number of the soldier.
