Why Trains Beat Planes

I tend to take trains - rather than planes - whenever the journey allows it.

* It’s better for the environment.
* You can go direct city to city. No faff getting to an airport in the middle of nowhere.
* It’s more relaxing. You often spend around the same amount of time door to door, but in one place. Airports are all thirty minutes here, then wait there, then thirty mins here, then plane, then baggage etc. Books are better uninterrupted.
* You get to see the country(s) through which you are travelling. Above is the French/Swiss Alpes going from Milan to Paris, one Monday morning.
* I'm an old romantic... #^.^#
