Tilo & Oscar
Native Haitian Tilo and his 8-year-old son Oscar work together in the fields every day, tending to their animals. Their five goats, two cows, two horses and five chickens serve as a form of insurance. This horse, valued at 4,000 pesos ($120), would only be sold in the case of a family emergency. Tilo’s wife runs a community store, which provides the family’s modest income.
In the Las Pajas and the Lucky Haitians photo essay.

This series is so awesome. The shots from the Haitians are so well done. I seem to keep going back to them and find so much is said in each. You have a great vision and direction in your work!
