Tat is a commentary on social behavior; I guess most people are followers.As long as they do what everyon elese is doing they are comfortable.
I see no women in the photos, It would have have been goodto see their stances and dresses. -

I did photograph some of the females at the club, but they weren't as fashionable as the guys. Which did surprise me a bit. -

I disagree with some of the vibe and comments on this essay. I feel the commentary is a little on the judgemental side to be comfortable as a photo essay.
Fashion has always been a game of lead and follow. You may not particularly like 'scenesters', but I'd rather know what you feel makes them any different from hip hop culture, rave culture, disco culture, or any other scene where fashion dominates. That would make for an insightful photo essay or commentary.
That said, I really do like the shots, which is the main reason I bothered to add a little (light!) criticism to the mix.
