Mountain fires

Bushfires are common feature of the Ozy bush. This taken a few kilometres from Mt Hotham, Victoria, Australia. The Mountain Ash (Eucalyptus Regnans) and a lot of the Snow Gums (Eucalyptus Pauciflora) got knocked about by the last fire through here just over a year ago. I liked the contrast of the dead trees and the survivors.

Cheers Maria. Huge swathes of the high country (as we call it) looked like this. All a big cycle. Those tall trees will go down eventually, more fuel load for future fires.
