This photograph is part of my work towards my end of year college project.

We were set a task, to come up with our own assignment, and deliver five photographs from it. I decided that I wanted to shoot five fictional portraits, depicting a Glaswegian couple, and how they interact, behave, and deal with different situations in their relationship. I wanted the images to look like part of a narrative, as if film stills

Here, the couple deal with the prospect of pregnancy, awaiting the results from a pregnancy test. I wanted to explore how couples react in such situations, when their relationship isn't about roses and chocolates, but about making decisions and dealing with life changing events, whether they work together and support one another, or whether they end up tugging in different directions.
