PERSPECTIVE
Another look at the buffalo country of south central Montana where Buffalo Bob Thompson once lived, and hunted. This is belived to be his home until sometime around 1875. The largest place of trade of any size was Billings, a rather long day's ride horseback (one way). A very small out post, Absarokee, was about twenty miles east. The name Absarokee comes from Lakota Sioux, roughly translated, "where the crow goes". Refering to the hunting grounds of the Crow tribe, beneath the Absaroka Range of the Rockies. This area spreads across Sweet Grass, Stillwater, Carbon, and parts of Yellowstone counties of south central Montana, an area larger than the state of Rhode Island.

I am so glad places like this still exist. Nice work.

This is wonderful - not lonely, just alone. Great place to sit and do some thinking.
