The endless red dunes of the great sand ocean of the Namib seemingly go on into the distance forever,their steep sides glowing as the sun sinks away.Such a stunningly beautiful environment, it could almost be from some NASA mission,but you have to keep on reminding yourself that this place is right here on Earth and it can be just as hostile as any of the places they visit. It deserves respect as it can bite any unwary travellers who venture in!
