This is the boardwalk in the small seaside town where I grew up. I love and visit the beach and boardwalk year round. The peacefulness in the autumn and winter is a stark contrast to the hum of rides, games of chance and hordes of tourists during the warmer months. It's my favorite place to hang out because I love spending time at the beach either swimming during the day or walking on the boardwalk at night. Whether it's people watching, having a great seafood dinner, or walking in the surf as the moon rises, it is home to me. Of course, it is a wonderful place to take photos. This image was taken on one of those early summer evenings at sunset.

I just love this photo! I used to live near the Jersey Shore and recently took a visit back. We went to the boardwalk in October, and it was just as you described it. Fascinating picture and story.
