Armand playing on his Ludwig's
My Father-in-law played drums for over 60 years. He thouroughly enjoyed music; notice the 33 1/3 's behind him on the stand.
After retirement and after losing his wife, he still had his music. He played with me for years on Cape Cod.
I made this photograph with a Koni-Omega Rapid "M" and 90mm f/3.5 Hexanon lens. the format is 2 1/4 X 2 3/4... said to be the ideal format That meant at the time 8 X 10" photographs withot cropping.
The film was Ektacolor 160 Professional. This was scanned recently on my Epson Perfection V700. I scanned the original negative.

Nice...Love the well worn drum heads, and the essential vinyl records in the background. Looks kind of like my basement now!

What a nice photo and tribute. My dad, who'll be 81 in June, still plays the piano every day. I think it helps to keep them "alive" in every way.
