Many homes were evacuated minutes after I photographed the fire in the Santa Anita Mountains a week ago. I could hear and see the local homeowners struggling to pack everything into their cars, frustrated in trying to get out of there as fast as they could. The woman in the image just came home from her job and had no idea that the fire had started. She was running in and out of her house, frustrated because she did not know what to do with her animals inside of her home. I'm sure many were hoping that the fire would not reach their homes.

Great shot. The blur works. Hopefully, no homes were destroyed during this fire.
