This view is of Highway 28 between Las Cruces, New Mexico and El Paso. Year round this stretch of road is a favorite of motorcycle cruisers, bicyclists, and the old fashioned Sunday drivers as a source of pleasure for both view and effect as they drive through this tunnel of pecan trees in the Rio Grande Valley. This is the world's largest family owned pecan producer with an annual production of eight to ten million pounds of pecans... imagine driving through all that!

This photo was taken just before sunset when the late day yellow desert sun reflecting on the already yellow leaves intensified the colorburst already created in the late fall.
