In the car

I'm currently working on a college project, which is based on an idea I set myself. I'm trying to create a series of five images, which show a narrative - fictional, set up, staged images. Like movie stills, basically.

The theme is based around a fictional couple (real people, but they are only friends - not a couple at all), in Glasgow. I wanted to explore their different ways of interacting, behaving around each other in different circumstances.

The scenes are: In a flat (in the lounge); on the street walking home; in the car; in a park; and in a bedroom.

The park scene was meant to look like a first date type scenario. The street scene and flat lounge scene both are also happy scenes. This was the first main scene which involved the couple having a row. Cars are prime locations for arguments and rows with loved ones. Its a private spaece, but you are surrounded by windows for everyone to see.

This was shot using natural sunlight and a Metz flash fired through the windscreen.
