The Arnold Arboretum
Roslindale, MA
~this is the oldest public arboretum in North America. It runs through my hometown, Roslindale, and Jamaica Plain. I've been coming here since I can remember and could walk a lot of it with my eyes closed....it is a place I feel the most at peace. When we were teenagers we used to come up at night in the middle of february and light bonfires to keep warm...not so smart really. Now it's just a place I go for walks or meditate or take photos of my red shoes! These days I see deer and coyotes....if the timing is right...

*Extreme* nostalgia caused by this picture and your description. I have many happy memories of this place...climbing the cork tree, riding my bike, hiding under overhanging branches...
