    Not a spotlight, no. I used my flashgun which I set up on a tripod out of shot.

    thanks for explaining the lighting - it's a stunning shot - love the way you lit it. did you trigger the flash with a transmitter or use the onboard flash on the camera to fire it? wish I had your braveness to quit my job and go back to study photography! that's amazing - good luck - your work is great.

    Thanks Donna. I used a cord, which I plugged into my camera and into the flash. Very cheap, and mostly effective, as long as I'm no further than 3m away!

    Sergey....could you please explain a little more regarding the "bad photoshop work" and "bad final for card". I'm not understanding you on that.....I think this image is quite outstanding and very well done.
    To Kristin, well done. I love this shot and your story that goes with it. I found it very informative.
