Hotel Hall
Well they call it a "hotel." I just took a vacation to New York City and stayed in this hotel. It has a nice location in the middle of the west village and the price was unbeatable... probably the homeless man under the bridge would charge more to use his box than this place did. Each night cost $35.. that should have tipped me off before I went. I brought my own sleeping bag because I don't trust $35 beds in NYC. The place was literally 7'x4', no ceiling (so you can hear everyone around you and the bathroom and the street), the doors have spaces between them so you can peek into other peoples rooms, shared bathrooms and shower with the floor (a couple of the shower doors don't even close completely, you just close it to a 45 degree angle with the wall and put a small latch to lock it), and I still stayed in it for 4 nights. I think a homeless shelter would have been nicer, but again it was only $35/night in Manhattan.
This is the hallway which reminds me a little of either a strict conservatory dorm or upscale prisoner cells... I realize both are basically the same thing.
I thought for the people out there that don't miiiind living in such conditions if the price is right, the website to the hotel is http://www.whitehousehotelofny.com/
